| I am working on getting a list of all large-animal vets by
area of practice built here.
I have noticed as a horseperson that it is hard to find out which
vets do large-animal work, as a majority seem to do only small-animal
work. The Yellow Pages do not always specify, leaving you
to do lots of "calling around" to find one, or having
to ask other horsepeople for recommendations. Often a recommendation
does not help, as the vet recommended is in a different area and
travel costs then become prohibitive for regular visits.
If you are an equine veterinarian, please take the time to submit
your free basic listing. Indicate which town/city you are
based in and what geographical area your practice serves. Even
if you already have all the work you can handle and don't feel
you need to promote more, please list yourself anyway - in an
emergency your listing may save a horse's life!
Thank you.
Myriam
For now, you may use this website to locate veterinarians by
area, although some will be small-animal practitioners only: |

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning "universal life energy".
Energy is found in all things and Reiki applies this energy through
gentle touch to help heal and promote well-being. Reiki is ideal
for use on animals as it is gentle and non-invasive and animals
respond to energy much more than humans. Animals often become
very calm and relaxed during a treatment. Both healthy and ill
animals can benefit from treatments whether it be for promoting
relaxation or to help heal after an injury.
$35 per 20-30 minute session. I will travel to you if so chosen
(mileage charges may apply). Please contact April in the evenings
(preferably) at 204-851-0601 or email me anytime.
