Canadian Fjord Horse Association
On May 1st 1977, our association was born. Through the co-operation
of Fjord owners and those interested in the Fjord horse, a form
of communication was established between owners of stallions and
mares. The Fjord population continues to grow each year. At present
they number over 1,000. They can now be found in every province
across Canada. Members are using the Fjord horse in dressage,
english/western riding, jumping, packing, pulling competitions,
walking plough, combined driving, etc. Thus the term general all
purpose horse. Canadian Fjord Horse Association c/o Joan
